About Atma with Reiki in Melbourne
I have been extensively involved with Reiki for many years and accredited as a Jin Kei Do Reiki Master and Teacher, under the direct lineage of Dr Ranga Premaratna and was initiated in 1992 as a Master. My training and experiences have taken me on travels far and wide over the world and I have held workshops overseas and in Australia. I am offering Reiki in Melbourne.
I have practiced as a Reiki Master/Teacher since 1990 through the western lineages of The Usui System of Natural Healing. I travelled to Hong Kong and received another empowerment as a Karuna Reiki Master/Teacher. I continued to experience that there was something amiss. So after a long search and traveling overseas to find the link, I discovered Dr Ranga Premaratna in Sydney and confirmed my search was over in the Tibetan lineage. I travelled from Queensland to Sydney several times to receive teachings and empowerments from Dr Premaratna.
I have been involved in spiritual traditions and various religions for well over 30 years and my life is devoted to the wellbeing and empowerment of others.
My other skills include Clinical Hypnotherapy Melbourne, Coaching Melbourne, Contemplative Counselling Melbourne and an Advanced Facilitator for Corstone Emotional Resilience. I am a certified Marriage Celebrant.
Reiki Jin Kei Do Lineage:
The meaning of Lineage holder is the person elected by a teacher and founder to guide and direct others toward the source of healing. The chosen being is the descendent of the lineage holder and approved and assigned with the accountability of communicating the philosophy and empowerment of the healing to others, The Takamori lineage of Reiki or Reiki Jin-Kei Do©, Dr. Usui is the founder or discoverer of the system of Reiki as practiced today. Dr. Hayashi is thought to be one of his descendents. Ven. Takeuchi received the teachings of Reiki from Dr. Hayashi and communicated the teachings on to his disciple Ven. Seiji Takamori who was Ven.Takeuchi's only student and descendent. Seiji was an explorer. He was a being who experienced healing of body, mind and spirit. His life's goal was to be of complete benefit and service to others and to realize his True Self. He trained those needing healing and passed on the teachings. Takamori chose Ranga J. Premaratna as his heir to pass on the healing facts and information he gathered all through his life experiences.
Reiki is an ancient way of balancing the body and mind and the Reiki Jin Kei Do Principles and Ethics, as designed by Ranga J Premaratna, and taught by Seiji Takamori are as follows:

What does Reiki do?
Reiki is a Japanese word for Universal Life Force Energy and is pure unconditional healing gift.
A Jin Kei Do Reiki treatment: takes approximately 1 hour. Energy is experienced in ways such as tingling, heat,
pulsing, coolness, lightness and surges of energy currents through the body. The client drifts into altered states of consciousness and the experience is extremely relaxing and very pleasant.
Chakra treatments: Energy activations assist to access the unconditional love energy field by further opening the chakras or energy channels to receive a higher level of vibrational energy. The chakras are channeled into alignment and this encourages the body and mind to become harmonized and balanced bringing about an experience of deep peaceful healing existence. A full chakra treatment can take up to 2 hours.
Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning ‘wheel of light’ and the chakra wheels vibrate as circular spirals of energy differing at different frequencies. Blockages in the energy flow of the chakra or an excess of energy can lead to imbalance and disharmony on the physical, mental and spiritual levels. It is understood that each chakra corresponds to one of the major glands in the body. The Reiki hand positions cover the chakras and the major organs and glands. Emotional and
spiritual difficulties can create disease within the body and by purifying and balancing the chakras, can be the key to healing emotional blockage occurring in the body. Balancing the chakras assists in improved health. This is an ancient science that is over 9.000 years old.
Crown Chakra - located on the top of the head and the opening of the crown chakra allows one to enter into higher states of consciousness. The crown chakra is usually connected to the pineal gland.
Brow Chakra - Referred to as the third eye or seat of intuition is located in the centre of the forehead. The third eye chakra has a connection to the pituitary gland.
Throat Chakra - Seat of intuition is located in the throat area. The throat chakra corresponds to the thyroid gland.
Heart Chakra – This is the bridge, the centre for connectedness and nurturing and is located in the middle and to the left of the chest. The heart chakra corresponds to the thymus gland.
Solar Plexus Chakra - Centre of personal power and is located above the naval. The solar plexus chakra is related to the pancreas and major organs of digestion and purification.
Sacral Chakra - The nature of one’s focus on sensual expression and sexuality can have both positive and negative effects. When in balance, giving and receiving, are experienced as unity rather than separateness. This chakra is located below the navel. The navel chakra is related to the reproductive organs.
Root Chakra - This chakra is related to the quantity of physical energy and the will to live in the physical reality.
It is located at the base of the spine. The root chakra is linked with the sacrum, spine, rectum, anus and the urethra. I welcome enquiries about Reiki workshops.

REIKI INITIATIONS AND WORKSHOP INFORMATION
1st Level Jin Kei Do Reiki workshop: is a hands-on experience and is over 2 days and the student receives 4 energy
empowerments during this time. This encourages development and healing of relationships and your life. The student becomes aware of how we create our own existence, which can cause us immeasurable difficulties and illness. Useful and practical skills for everyday life that can cause demanding and distressing occurrences are more easily handled thereby do not create such pain and suffering. You are given ways in which to relax in your suffering. This level is for your own individual healing and at which time you will also receive teachings and trainings to carry out treatments for yourself and others in a seated and full body treatment. In addition you will receive a simple practice of Six Point Meditation and the 7 Purifying Breaths, which will enhance you understanding of energy flow. Each student receives a certificate on completion of the 1st level of Jin Kei Do Reiki.
2nd level Jin Kei Do Reiki workshop: is a hands-on experience and is followed after some integration has taken place within you and the body has become accustomed to the energy of the 4 empowerments from the 1st level. A commitment and dedication to the practice is a requirement. The student receives three sacred RJKD II symbols and an explanation of their meanings and applications and further meditations to enhance your Reiki practice.
Reiki Jin Kei Do Master (Stage III) Training: Should a Reiki student decide to receive further training, t the appropriate time, and upon agreement between the student and the initiating Jin Kei Do Master, an introduction to Reiki Jin Kei Do Master Course and Philosophy deeper compassion and wisdom of the lineage is shared with the student.

More details of the Master Training Course is available for candidates upon
request.
Training is undertaken over 12 months. Initial training is undertaken for 5 days 3 hours per day. Thereafter, 3-hour training sessions per week is required for 6 weeks.
The candidate must then organize a Reiki Jin Kei Do Level 1 class of a minimum of 3 students as part of training. The
training master will attend the class and guide the candidate in conducting the class. (Reiki Jin Kei Do 1 attunement training and practice for the candidate is provided during the Master Training.)
